G’day! My name is Matt Deavin and I!m a film maker. My ability to shoot, produce, direct and edit gives me a unique eye that showcases the best of my client!s story. These days I spend the majority of my time behind the lens as an operator or DOP but my love of the industry keeps me excited for whatever role gets thrown my way.

Throughout my career, I have covered a variety of genres, ranging from documentaries, drama, food, business, reality, wildlife and nature, sport and lifestyle. I!ve had the privilege

of working with some amazing clients such as Qantas, Rolex, Tourism Australia, Disney, Audi, Mazda, Getty Images and some major TV networks like channels 7, 9 & 10, SBS, Sky News and Fox Sports.

Specialising in high quality documentary formats, my passion is to tell human stories that intersect with the natural world. Preferring a raw and real style of filming, I love to capture moments as they happen. However, whilst documentaries are my passion, I!ve had extensive experience on many different projects, ranging from TVCs, live events, Tropfest finalist short films, television programs and multi-national brand campaigns.

When not behind a camera or at the edit suite, I enjoy spending time in nature – surfing, hiking, camping, socialising and staying active.
